Propane Heater Recall
According to PR Newswire, the Cedar Lake Propane Heater/Cooker has been recalled. Apparently, the regulator on the heater/cooker malfunctions when a user switches from a cooking to heating option or vice versa, causing the propane gas to become a liquid, which can easily flare and pose a fire hazard. Injuries from burns can be very painful and require burn treatments that include skin grafts and other surgical interventions. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries as a result of this defect. However, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is asking for any incident or injury reports related to this product. To report any dangerous product, go to SaferProducts.gov. At Caldwell Law Group, PLLC, we have successfully handled many cases involving defective products and resulting injuries against large multi-national corporations. Litigation in these matters typically requires an attorney with the wherewithal and experience to successfully fight these battles. In a nutshell, in order to recover, it must be proven that a product is unsafe for its intended use and, as a result, you were injured. However, the law often protects product manufacturers with laws like the Statute of Repose. If you’ve been injured or suffered property loss as a result of an unsafe product, you are welcome to give us a call or email us to see if you have a case.
